Iraqi's Using Iranian weapons

In Baghdad, Iraq, U.S. officials said that there is a "growing body" of evidence that Iranian weapons are being used to kill U.S. soldiers. An estimated 170 coalition forces have been killed by Iranian weapons already. This information was given from a senior defense official from the U.S.-led Multinational Force in Baghdad. Most of these weapons include roadside bombs known as explosively formed penetrators (EFP's) and they are suspected to have been smuggled into Iraq. Fragments of what is said to be Iranian-manufatured weapons including oe part of an EFP was shown to journalists by officials. These EFP's are strong enough to penetrate the armor of an Abrams tank. "The weapons had characteristics unique to being manufactured in
Iran' name ... Iran is the only country in the region that produces these weapons," the senior defense official said in Baghdad. U.S. officials are concerned about the "vast increase" of sophistication of the weapons used by Iraqi militants against U.S. forces in 2006 and 2007.

It is interesting to note the growing rhetoric of the President's critics. Many are claiming that the intel being utilized for this situation is either wrong or manipulated....that is why intel has to be beyond doubt...which it almost never is.
