Jesus Christ Anti-Existence Case Dismissed
In Rome, Luigi Cascioli, a 72 year-old retired agronomist, took Rev. Enrico Righi into court for violating two laws with asssertion, which he called a "deceptive fable propagated by the Roman Catholic Church". Cascioli claims that Jesus Christ never existed and Righi is violating 2 Italian laws which include: "abuse of popular belief" and "impersonation". “The Rev. Righi is very satisfied and moved,” Righi’s attorney, Severo Bruno, said. “He is an old, small-town parish priest who never would have thought he’d be in the spotlight for something like this.” Cacioli is now considering bring this case to the attention of the European Courts of Human Rights. Judge Gaetano Mautone said in his decision that prosecutors should investigate Cascioli for possible slander. The judge then dismissed the case. Is Cascioli correct in saying that Jesus Christ never existed?
